Per the June 2009 changes in the US Figure Skating Basic Skills Competition Manual, all freeskate events in the 2009 Charleston Open Basic Skills Competition will have the option of using vocal music.

  A US Figure Skating Test Session will be held during the competition on Sunday morning, July 26th.  Out of town skaters are welcome to test.  Download an application from the Test Sessions page and mail by July 11th for priority scheduling.  Applications received after that date will be considered on a first come first serve basis.

  • Go to www.USFigureSkating.org
  • Scroll about half way down the page to a blue box that has the heading Member Services.
  • Under the heading Member Services, click on Members Only.
  • This will open a new window.  If you have never accessed this site before, you will now set up a password using your email address and US Figure Skating member number.  Have a way to record this and keep it handy.
  • Enter your Member Number and Password.
  • At the next screen, from the left menu bar, under the heading Event Registration, click on Online Event Reg.
  • At the next screen, from the left menu bar, under the heading Event Manager, click on Program Content (singles/dance/pairs).
  • At the next screen, scroll down until you find 7/24/2009 Charleston Open.  The different competitions are NOT in any particular order.  You just have to sift through until you find it.  Click on Add New Form.
